SDRMA recently held elections for 3 Director seats. The newly elected Directors will begin their 4-year term of office on January 1, 2012. The results from the election are as follows:

Director/Secretary, Costa Mesa Sanitary District

Edmund K. Sprague
Board President, Olivenhain Municipal Water District

Bethzabe Yanez
Board President, East Palo Alto Sanitary District


Board Member Role and Responsibilities – Board member responsibilities include: a commitment to serve as a part of a unified governing body; govern Board of Directors; policies, standards and ethics; commitment of the time and energy to be effective and make policy decisions for the benefit and in the best interest of all SDRMA members; support decisions; communicate as a cohesive Board of Directors with a common vision and voice; and operate with the highest standards of integrity and trust.

The next SDRMA Election will be held for 4 Director seats in September 2013. Directors are elected to 4-year staggered terms and elections are held every 2 years.
